Michelle Barth - Director
I am beginning my 1\4th year with Fort Bend ISD and Clements High School and my 20th year of teaching dance. Before teaching in the public-school setting, I taught and set choreography at various dance studios in the Austin, TX area. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. I am certified in Dance, PE and Speech. Before heading off to Austin for college, I called Fort Bend ISD my home...Go Vikings! I have a two-year-old daughter who has kept me quite entertained as her toddler stage takes off! I absolutely love Tex-Mex food and could eat it for every meal. My favorite color is olive green with marigold yellow being a close second. I have been Directing the Stars since 2009, serving as the Assistant from 2009-2011. I founded the Twinkles JV Dance Team in 2012 and have loved getting to see both programs become what they are today!
Alina Mitchell - Assistant Director
I am beginning my 4th year at Clements High School and my 16th year teaching dance. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and several years later I acquired my Masters in Education in Educational Leadership. Before moving into public education in 2015, I taught and choreographed at local dance studios. In 2015, I moved into public education as an Academic Advisor at Stratford High School in Spring Branch ISD. Shortly after I began teaching Dance and PE in Houston ISD at Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy. At YWCPA I not only taught regular Dance and PE classes, I also directed the Dance and Cheer teams during my time there. In 2019, I became a Clements Ranger! I have loved being at Clements the past three years and working with Stars Dance Team and Twinkles JV Dance Team. I am looking forward to the years to come and being a part of the growth in the Clements Dance Program.
